Another day in paradise

Posted by Anthony Busceme under: Uncategorized.

doug.jpgDoug Sartin went out yesterday with me for a little fun in the sun.  We had a late start due to some mechanical difficulties but we still tore them up.  Between Doug, Justin, and myself we ended up boating 14 reds and 9 flounder.  Doug caught most of them, I guess when you get the Miller Lite out of his hand he’s actually a pretty good fisherman. Way to go Doug!!

Can someone please stop the madness

Posted by Anthony Busceme under: Uncategorized.

justin1st-trip-001.jpgAnother wonderful day in Hackberry.  They were really biting today but due to the cold front that came in overnight we had to slow our retrieve down quite a bit.  If anyone wants to whack some fish give me a call.  PJ Guerro, I hate to even put this picture up because you know you were supposed to be on this trip.  Sorry you were not able to make it.  The total count was 10 reds, and 9 flounder.  We also landed quite a few nice specks today and some great Gulf Trout.  If anyone wants to go, give me a call and we can make it happen!!

BlackDog Special Operations Capable

Posted by Anthony Busceme under: Uncategorized.

Open for business!! Busceme’s Blackdog Fishing and Guide Services has now reopened after the devastation of hurricane Ike.  The Blackdog team is now servicing two states.  If you want to fish or hunt Texas or Louisiana then we are the outfitter to call.  Due to the storm, I have relocated to DeQuincy, LA.  and am running trips out of Hackberry LA.  We will be looking forward to fishing East Bay again but in the mean time Louisiana is the place to be.  Yesterday in less the three hours, a party of five, we boated 25 keeper reds, 12 keeper trout, and 14 beautiful flounder.  I am on some solid fish and it is only going to get better.  Birds are working the middle of the lake, but the shoreline seems to be the trick for the reds and flounder.  White is a strong color right now, but we also had great luck on chartreuse.

Salute to the “B” Hive

Posted by Anthony Busceme under: Uncategorized.

Well, I apologize for not blogging as much as I should be, but there has been a little thing called Ike!  Needless to say the BlackDog operation took a powerful blow.  The BlackDog Chateau is gone but not forgotten.  The “B” Hive also was destroyed in Ike.  Anyone who has been with me over the past years knows how important the Hive was to the creation of who I am today, so please today, as you are enjoying that tasty Miller Lite, take a moment to think about all the good times we had under that cabin.  The fish fry’s, the crab boils, all the crawfish, the outdoor shower. Thank you Papa Busceme for all the memories.  That cabin has been there for 3 generations and 47 years, and it will be in our memories for 47 more!  I can only hope that one day I will be able to provide my family a place to gather and share good times such as you did for so long.  So everyone raise your glasses to the “B” Hive, Papa Busceme, and all the Grandfathers out there that have the Lake house, the River Camp, or the Beach Cabin.  Thank you.

God Bless Texas

longhorns.jpg

This has absolutely nothing to do with fishing, but Dang!!!

By the way there are trout stacked up in the surf right now.  Mirror lures and Croaker have been the ticket. It’s hot from McFadden to the North Jetty.  It’s easy fishing and you can be back in bed by 0800, maybe next to something like one of these fine young Longhorn fans.

PETA’s new add

Posted by Anthony Busceme under: Uncategorized.

240-dogfish.jpgI just wanted to share PETA’s new ad against fishing. It’s slogan is: Would you do this to a dog?  In case you wondered how I would answer that, here you go.

DUMBASS, dog doesn’t taste anything like fish!! If it did I’d be whacking the hell out of them.  I bet they would be great fighters.
